Resumen
The aim of this article is to provide a general analysis of the presence of the Basque language at the work site. Various relevant aspects are dealt with, such as historical references, the importance of language normalization at work and the kind of protection languages are given in the socio-economic field in Quebec, Europe and Spain in particular. It has also been included a small map illustrating the present situation of the Basque language in the Basque Country, as well as some workers’ opinions. Finally, some conclusions are drawn. It should be taken into account that the main subject of the article is the second aspect, so when ellaborating the map, the first and third aspects mentioned above have not been dealt in detail.
