La moralidad y los valores del alumnado de “Aulas de la Experiencia” de la Universidad del País Vasco. Una aproximación desde la psicología moral

Laburpena

In this paper we present our research about moral reasoning and values among the students of the Humanities Program for Seniors (Aulas de la Experiencia) of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (Alava Campus). Three questionnaires were used: 1) Rest’s DIT; 2) a specific questionnaire regarding personal data (CDP); and 3) Schwartz’s scale of values. The following parameters were also considered: gender, age, studies completed, political tendency and religious beliefs. The moral reasoning of 82% of the students was conventional whereas that of the remaining 18% was postconventional. These percentages would vary slightly depending on the sociopersonal parameters considered. These results agree in general with those of other investigators. The following values were also statistically significant: freedom, respect, maturity, friendship, loyalty, honesty, responsibility, forgiving, creativity, independence, curiosity, benevolence, and sense of belonging.
