Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse the right to strike of a number of groups : cooperativists, students, TRADES, and volunteers. To that, it firstly starts with the general regulation applicable to each of those groups. So,in the case of cooperativists, it starts with the Act 27/1999, of July 16th, about Cooperatives; in the case of students, with the Royal Students ; in the case of TRADES, with the Act 20/2007, of July 11rst, about the Statute of Independent Workers ; and finally, in the case of volunteers, with the Act 6/1996 of January 15th, about Social Volunteering. Then, the study deals with the characteristics of each of them and with the possible similarities between them and the salaried workers legally, entitled to the right to strike. In this way, and on the basis of the common characteristics existing between the former and the latter, it concludes that the four groups are entitled to the right to strike.
