Resumen

The aim of this study was to evaluate the extent to which stressful events suffered in childhood and/or adolescence, such as being a victim of bullying, have an impact on the psychological well-being of lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) individuals. This study was carried out with 119 LGBs. The results suggest that bullying suffered during childhood and/or adolescence influences individuals’ current psychological well-being, particularly depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and affective balance. Factors such as social networks as support providers, difficulties in accepting one’s sexual-emotional orientation, and others' approval of one’s sexual-emotional orientation may also influence psychological well-being.
