Consecuencias del bullying homofóbico retrospectivo y los factores psicosociales en el bienestar psicológico de sujetos LGB

Resumen

El estudio actual tuvo como principal objetivo analizar si aquellas personas lesbianas, gais y bisexuales (LGB) que sufrieron un evento estresante en la infancia y/o adolescencia, tal como haber sido víctima de acoso escolar por motivo de orientación afectivo-sexual, tiene consecuencias negativas en su bienestar psicológico. Los resultados obtenidos en este estudio, realizado con 119 gais, lesbianas y bisexuales, sugieren que el bullying sufrido en el pasado influye en el bienestar psicológico de los sujetos en la actualidad, concretamente, en los niveles de depresión y ansiedad, autoestima y balanza de afectos. Asimismo, se confirma que las redes sociales proveedoras de apoyo, las dificultades a la hora de aceptar la propia orientación afectivo-sexual y la aceptación por parte de los otros significativos de la orientación afectivo-sexual constituyen factores susceptibles de influir en el bienestar psicológico de los sujetos.
