Abstract
This article explores the ways in which we can develop sustainability and knowledge in order to frame new strategies and integrative methodologies in a globalizing world. A cosmopolitan approach superseding the current view of responsibility is argued as necessary in this process. The author promotes science-based assessment of global change and seeks ways to ensure a transdisciplinary approach that fuses natural sciences and social sciences, from an ontoepistemic and ethical valuation of global complexity
