Abstract
This article analyses the conjugal sexual model created and encouraged by the Church in the Middle Ages in order to regulate to what extent some sexual practices might be considered as licit within marriage. Thus, among others, the issues of positions, moments, frequency, etc, are taken into account, as well as the diverse strategies the medieval society resorted to in order to enjoy sex and cohabitation outside the path of canonical marriage, such as concubinage, common-law union, sexual intercourse with a minor.
