Abstract
School sport activities are designed for educational purposes, specifically to help pupils' integral development. Within that goal, the importance of the selfconcept is being remarked. The organizational structure of these activities in Gipuzkoa is original to concret issues. The relationship between taking part in school sport and selfconcept is analized. The working sample (N=153) is representative of the population studyng of 10 years of Gipuzkoa (Basque Country). The results show that participants in school sport make better scores about selfconcept than non participants; regular better than reserve players and boys better tahn girls.
