Abstract

In this paper the faculty of political judgment is analysed, conceived as a main craft of the cognitive dimension of civic competence. The objective of the paper is to help in building a secure conceptual foundation, from a philosophical point of view, in the theoretical studies of citizenship education. To this end, the author presents and evaluates the importance of Hannah Arendt's political thought, and particulary her theory of political judgment, to the context of educational reflection.
