Resumen

Emotion brings learning. The present work was carried out in the Faculty of Education and Sport (Teacher Training) of the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). Our intention is to explore the impact of the use of visual methodologies in the training of future teachers. With self-portraits as a starting point, the proposal, made in two different university courses, has in common visual methodologies used around the teaching-learning processes. The formation and construction of the teaching identity was questioned practically through some ephemeral states (present/past/future) in order to adquire different points of view. As a conclusion, to say that the visual methods around the self-portraits have facilitated us to reflect and develop an individual and a collective conscience on the subjects treated.
