Resumen

The main objective of this work is to identify the relation between values education (VE) and the school effectiveness, concluding with good intervention practices based on the analysis of primary schools from the Basque Country with different level of effectiveness. The scores obtained in five editions of the Diagnostic Evaluations are used as yardstick, considering that schools of high effectiveness are those whose achieved score is higher than expected, taking into account the effect of contextual variables. The present article focuses on the results obtained in the first of five phases, whose objective is to analyze how future teachers perceives the VE, as well as their presence in the curriculum of the Master of Secondary. 41 study plans of universities where the Master is taught were analyzed and a questionnaire was applied to 70 students of the same. The results show a limited presence of VE in these studies, concluding that there is a notable awareness of the topic, although with a low level of knowledge.
