Abstract
At the surroundings of Laño locality (SW of the Basque Country) appears a section of the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary where two depositíonal sequences, separated by one unconformity, can be distinguised. The lower sequence (Campanian-Maastrichtian) shows a marine regressive evolution; its modern levels, dated as "Rognacían", contain the vertebrate remains. In a fírst taxonomícal approach it can be discerned, among those: several bony fragments of dínosaurs, turtle carapace-plates and crocodile teeth. The upper sequence is inclued in the Paleocene and exhibit a transgressive trend, with a marine ínvertebrate fauna associated.
