Resumen
This paper marks out the contribution of virtual instrumentation to provide multimedia system with an interactive background for simulation and practices with real circuits. This system allows to experiment with and verify different aplications from electric and electronic engineering curriculum. From a teaching perspective, virtual instrumentation facilitates the learning and practising of the concepts and basic laws that rule the behavior of continuous current, altern current and magnetic circuits, acting as a link between presented theory in a non-linear form using hypertext (knowledge model) and its practical understanding. On this way, it is used the well-proved teaching strategy of learn doing. To develop the hypertext, the author tool ToolBook 3.0 has been used, and LabVIEW 7.1 to implement virtual instrumentation.
