Resumen

The Surface site of Tribitu I is one of the many prehistoric habitation sites found at the Urrunaga reservoir (Alava). This study includes the analysis of all the lithic material recovered on the site, including retouched tools, cores, ground stones and manufacture remains. For this purpose we used the methodology proposed from Analytic Typology, originally developed by Dr. Georges Laplace. The assemblage is characterized by a mixing of materials from different chrono-cultural periods, in this case from the Ancient Palaeolithic to the recent Holocene (Metal Age); as it happens with many of the collections recovered around the reservoir. This paper aims to engage with the different studies made to the moment about the lithic assemblages collected in Urrúnaga, in order to make progress in the understanding of the open-air habitat in esatern Alava.
