Abstract

One of the main features of lyrical singing is vibrato. This research focuses on studying vocal vibrato in the process of acquisition. A survey is handed out to 38 students with varied singing voices, and voice acti- vity and training on different levels. Thus, data about the existing relation between voice activity and the emergence of vibrato is obtained, concluding that the teacher’s intervention affects directly in the improvement of the production of vibrato. Our goal is to help teachers and students to better understand this voice characteristic.
