Abstract

This article articulates a theoretical proposal -the characterization of the zoon elektronikon- and the annotations from an empirical research in progress on the personal photographic archive. From this perspective, and after a brief contextualization of photography in social research, a new type of individuation is characterized in the zoon elektronikon, a human being whose life is marked by its relationship with the digital world and, above all, with social networks. It also examines the changes generated by the configuration of analogue photography and its transition to digital, which highlights some difficulties derived from its current coexistence. In this regard, a brief comment is made on the reviewed sociological study of photography, in which the personal photo archive is addressed in the figure of the album, both analogue and digital in social networks
