Resumen
We live under the shadow of today's society; a society that demands a lot; a society that reflects competition. So where does creativity remain? The importance of creativity and the need to promote it are repeatedly reflected in both formal education and daily basis. Although this is an important concept, it is not widely used in practice, knowing that the benefits it can bring are inexhaustible. In this article we will focus on children's literature, knowing that this is the weapon of creativity and initiative; affecting both cognitive and affective processes (Moore, Ugarte & Urrutia, 1987; Rincón & Figuera, n.d.). Children’s literature takes one to know his inner word by supplying new and fascinating material that can enrich her personality and thereby enrich her self-concept (Andreucci & Mayo, 1993, Rodari, 1996). As Antoine de Saint Exupéry stated about creativity: “A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.”
