Abstract The topic of the (Post-modern artistic trends and its influence on Palestinian contemporary art) is summarized by revealing the effects of post-modern trends, which overcame the Western artistic scene since the 1960¿s, on the reality of plastic art in Palestine; in order to achieve that, and after highlighting the problem and necessity of the research in the first chapter; the researcher identified his research objectives by the following: 1- What are the post-modern trends that influenced contemporary Palestinian artists? 2- What are the aspects of the post-modern artistic trends influence on contemporary Palestinian art? Through the analysis of the contexts, forms, and structures of selected Palestinian artworks. 3- What is the nature of the intellectual contents carried in the post-modern Palestinian artworks? 4- To which extent is the political Palestinian issue represented in the Palestinian post-modern artworks? The researcher allocated the second chapter for the previous studies, and handled six studies: three Arabic studies, and three European studies. The third chapter was for the theoretical study, and included three sections: the first was about the philosophical content of post-modernity; the second was a philosophical concept of post-modern arts; and the third was a presentation for the historical context of Palestinian plastic art movement since its beginning till 2011. The fourth chapter was about analyzing the III research samples, which were intentionally chosen from the original research community in a way that agrees with the research objectives; the samples included twenty artworks that represented the post-modern trends that temporary Palestinian artists were influenced by. The fifth chapter was about the results of the study; the most important results were: Palestinian artists were influenced by a lot of post-modern artistic trends and tried to present artworks that approach the main basics of these trends, these trends are: conceptual art, installation art, performance art, body art, digital art, and video art (performance video, experimental video, and installation video). But there were trends that didn¿t catch the attention of Palestinian artists such as Net art, graffiti, and land art. The researcher also found out that contemporary Palestinian artists have adopted a lot of concepts and strategies that post-modern arts are based on, so they presented artworks that speaks to the mass culture, not the elite, which were characterized by: plurality, hybridizing , , simplicity, promiscuity in styles, mixing codes, parody, irony, Jouissance, ephemeral, celebration of surface, simplicity, depthlessness, creating, depended on narrative and metaphor, supporting to marginalized identities, open to multiple interpretations, in addition to weirdness, mystery, and shocking the receiver shock. As for the intellectual contents of the artworks, the analysis revealed the domination of the political content over most of the research samples; with the existence of some samples carrying social and economical contents. The study has proven the attendance of the Palestinian issue actively in most of the samples, rather it formed the main center for these artworks, which Palestinian artists have attempted to discuss all aspects of the IV Arab-Zionist conflict through it, the thing that imposed diversity in the contents related to the Palestinian cause.
