Abstract

The clinical diagnosis of the causes of failure of root canal treatment and the identification of the problem tooth is sometimes a complex diagnostic problem. The pul-Periapical diagnosis method should include in its protocol four aspects: dental history, tooth exploration and supporting tissues, radiographic interpretation and evidence of pulp vitality. The evidence of pulp vitality in decision making endodontic to the persistence of a periapical lesion refractory to the treatment of ducts should be included in our diagnostic systematics. The results of pulpal stimulation tests of the adjacent teeth will throw light at times to complex periapical pulpo-periapical condition as shown in the clinical situation of this article.
