Resumen
The geotectonic (kinematics, dynamics and PTt trends) evolution of the Badajoz Córdoba Shear Belt during Pan-African tectono-metamorphic events is interpreted in terms of understacking of tectonic slices from a subducting plate in a collisional orogenic wedge complex. Cyclic understacking of relatively cold slices beneath previous and hotter blocks.by means of duplex generation or thrust activation provides a scheme of "inverted" metamorphism in lower parts of the tectonic pile, while extension related to thinning of the tectonically thickened orogenic wedge leads the uplift and exhumation of high-grade rocks and provides a «normal" metamorphic isograde pattern within the upper parts of the pile.
