Abstract
The Sancti Spiritus Fort and its environment have been subjected to an intensive research and socialisation process through successive projects dating back to 2006. This paper summarises the latest results regarding the project designed for the comprehensive management of the site, including those that are concerned with the past of the site and its impact today. Thanks to the activities planned and developed in the 2014-2015 period, we have not only improved our knowledge of the features of the fort, of the local settlement and of the associated material culture, we have also begun to learn about the landscape that surrounded the area. We have seen progress in the preservation strategy of the site’s material elements and intensified the information policy aimed at the local community. Furthermore, in the light of the training activities and the scientific dissemination that have taken place within the framework of the project, it has become a reference point in Argentine archaeology.
