ForensicMarkers is a cross-platform software developed with the Java programming language. It has been designed to perform simultaneous estimates of some key parameters in forensic analysis, such as matching probability, power of discrimination, power of exclusion, typical paternity index, polymorphic information content, and homozygosity and heterozygosity indexes. In this computer program, data input is very simple and user-friendly. In addition, data input format is also compatible with another program devised by these authors for the calculation of population genetic parameters, as the case of the GeDis software.
