Resumen

The purpose of this article is to introduce the Basque reader to Brazilian poet Lêdo Ivo, through a selection of poems, translated into Basque for the first time, from his work Relámpago [Lightning]. Briefly, some of the characteristics of Ivo’s poetry are described, and his work is set in its proper context in the history of Brazilian poetry.
