Abstract
In the HIV (+) patients, periodontal disease is a oral lesion strongly associated. There are several studies in the literature about this topic in the different clinical, microbiological and therapeutic aspects. However, there is still controversies on different parts of this disease as the really frecuency, clinical types, microorganisms, ect. In this study, were review all the clinicopathological aspects of the periodontal disease in HIV (+) . HIV (+) patients have a most frecuently and more agresive periodontal disease that HIV (-) patients. No significative differences has been observed about clinical, microbiological and therapeutic aspects.
