Resumen

El orgullo moral, el orgullo provocado por la realización de una conducta moralmente positiva, puede favorecer la conducta prosocial. Para demostrarlo se realizaron dos estudios cuasiexperimentales con niños de nueve a 11 años. El Estudio 1 analizó, en cuatro aulas de dos centros escolares diferentes (N = 94), el efecto del orgullo experimentado tras la realización de una conducta prosocial. El Estudio 2 analizó, en cuatro aulas de otro centro (N = 77), el efecto del orgullo provocado por la evocación de una conducta prosocial propia. La hipótesis encontró apoyo en el Estudio 1, pero no en el 2. Se encontraron interesantes correlaciones del orgullo moral disposicional � medido con una escala diseñada ad hoc � con otras variables relevantes en el ámbito moral: intención de conducta prosocial, conducta prosocial habitual y empatía disposicional. En conjunto, estos estudios proporcionan evidencia de la importancia del orgullo moral, tanto del que podemos sentir en una situación dada como del disposicional, en la vida moral
