Resumen

Different transitional justice measures have been used to deepen the processes of peace. This study explores the measures used in Latin American context, so to draw some conclusions and lessons. Original survey data from five countries was used (N = 4899). The results reveal the importance of these measures in reconciliation process: is important to discuss and share the experiences of the violence past, although this can bring out negative emotions. Another relevant variable was the perceived effectiveness of the measures implemented. When measures are considered effective help to improve social clime and increase social solidarity and institutional trust.
