Abstract
The figure of Cassandra, Apollo's enigmatic prophetess, steers the dialogue in late seventies Paris between Nicole Loraux and one of her students (the author of the article) about the place of the word _not of the "lógos"_ in the splendid political sphere of classical Athens.
