Resumen

La influencia de la regulación emocional y afectiva va más allá de las vinculaciones familiares y románticas y afecta a nuestra conducta agresiva. En el estudio de la violencia interpersonal, una de las variables más compleja de analizar es el apego adulto. La bibliografía internacional ha relacionado distintos estilos de apego con la expresión funcional o disfuncional de la ira, la violencia doméstica y de pareja, o el comportamiento delictivo. El objetivo de este artículo es revisar la investigación existente sobre los estilos de apego adulto y su vinculación con la violencia contra la pareja (VCP). Asimismo se discute la utilidad de la variable en la clasificación tipológica de los agresores, sus posibles implicaciones para la intervención terapéutica y las limitaciones existentes en su evaluación. Al tratarse de una variable cuyo estudio en España aún está por desarrollar, se proponen algunas líneas de interés para el futuro.
