Abstract
«Visual Corporate Identity of Public Use in The Basque Country». This work involves approaching the creation processes of collective visual identity systems from the town halls of the three Basque cities and their provincial councils for the purpose of analyzing basic graphic elements and their evolution or redesign within the period mentioned. Our starting point is the interest for graphic design in the field of the creation of signs (iconographic in type) of a visual nature that, while being precise vehicles for a message’s transmission, must also pay their dues to graphic excellence. We will deal with the problems that the use and decodification of language imply when applied to the field of communicating the visual identity of public usefulness. Above all we are interested in contextualizing the project and showing the analyses done and their conclusions, such as reflections and doubts that have been generated, including afterwards, before the final document.
