Resumen

During the excavation of the Holocene site of Peña Larga (Cripán, Alava) in 2008 several microvertebrate remains were found. Micromammal species are represented in the site by nine rodents, three insectivores, one chiropteran and one lagomorph and the reptilians by two saurians and one ophidian and the amphibians by one anura. During the deposit of the level III the site was used to bury human remains so during that time no humans live in this place. For this reason some raptors and other depredators lived in the site and made a rich accumulation of microvertebrate remains. The microvertebrate assemblage indicates a humid temperate climate with an important development of forest.
