Resumen

En este trabajo se realiza una revisión de la investigación referente a la influencia de otros significativos, como padres, madres y/o entrenadores en la motivación intrínseca de jóvenes deportistas. Se recoge evidencia procedente de dos teorías clásicas de la psicología del deporte, la teoría de la evaluación cognitiva y la teoría de metas de logro. A partir de la revisión realizada se defiende una propuesta teórica que recoge el papel de la orientación motivacional así como el de la competencia percibida y la percepción de autonomía en la motivación intrínseca. El trabajo finaliza con la descripción de la integración de ambos modelos.
