Abstract

BACKGROUND. We do not have previous experience. We will use this practice to develop the learning process of students. METHOD. We will visit the hospital ship “Juan de la Cosa”. The “Juan de la Cosa” ship has a logistics base Santander. The ship's crew is ISM (Instituto Social de la Marina) staff. RESULTS. Students will see health activities that the ship provides. They will also see the emergency logistical support, such as repair services and spare parts, diving service, electrical repairs, and other necessary support services at sea. CONCLUSIONS. The classroom work is complemented by the practice. We previously worked in the classroom is supplemented. This will be their first experience on a ship and we can say it is essential, because it will be their first approaching at the sea world. Implementing an effective safety culture.
