Abstract
This essay trys to analize the constituent ideas of war subject (againts the Turk enemy) and of the (Indian) Conquest in the specific most spread Renaissance Literature (Maquiavelo, Erasmus, Sepulveda, Las Casas). As to literary gender, the war topics shape a kind of special rhetoric of the disasters of the war to encourage to pursuit the afterlife of such ideological patterns and to consider its narrative effects on Spanish Neo-latin epic and historiography.
