At the beginning of the 21st Century the construction of supranational space for higher education could be said to be a fact. The European Space for Higher Education is actually being shaped trough a wide range of declarations like the Sorbonne, Bologne, Prague, Berlin and Bergen declarations. Furthermore, the year 2010 is considered to be the target date to achieve convergence. Besides, Latin America is not only striving to create its own space for Higher Education but also trying to foster a Common Space for Higher Education in Latin America, the Caribean Area and the European Union. But there are several questions to be answered: What stage of the adaptation process are they at?, Are lecturers really qualified to adapt the University degrees to the demands of the European Space for Higher Education? This article is actually focused on the experience of a group of lecturers in economics concerning the adaptation process, and it explains in depth the model used, together with the results obtained and its strength and weakness.
