Abstract
More and more the media has equipped itself with documentation services that enable it to easily access its retrospective information and consult quality information sources. The purpose of this research is to find out the actual level of implementation of these documentation services in the media in the Basque Country. A total of 15 different types of documentation services were researched (press, radio, television, multimedia agencies and groups) using a questionnaire in order to collect data. Then, their characteristics, structure, tasks, funds, digitalization processes and projects were analyzed and compared. And finally, the main conclusions are presented.
