The aim of this research project was to describe and optimise the potential of fast magneticresonance imaging (MRI) methods at high field strength for in vivo studies. A zoomed UFLAREmethod have been implemented and compared to conventional fast methods forrelaxometry applications and presented for abdominal imaging. Then high resolutionangiography has been improved to visualise, in a non-invasive way, the cerebral vasculaturein six different rat strains. The protocol was then applied to an experimental stroke model. Finally, functional MRI technique has been used to study the shape of the hemodynamicresponse through the anaesthesia of medetomidine. The influence of anomers of D-glucosehave been then investigated. A cinematographic FLASH method was then upgraded forimproving the spatial and temporal resolution..
