Abstract
The diastema, particularly the midline diastema, is one of the most frequent findings in dental practice. The decision abouth its resolutions is often taken unilaterally. For this reason, in some cases the results are not as satisfactory as they should. Alternative treatment options are discussed, all of them subjected to an interdisciplinary team work approach.
