Résumé
The progressive decrease of fossil fuels and the increaseof environmental problems associated to theircombustion, force to the searching of new energyalternatives. In this context, hydrogen arises as a newenergetic vector that offers important advantages anddrives primary power to the places where it is demanded. This hydrogen can be used by fuel cells without pollutant emissions.Among the six main types of fuel cells, Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs), which work with temperatures in the range of 750 ºC to 1050 ºC, are especially adequate for cogeneration and hybridization processes because of the high temperature of the exhaust gases. Currently, these SOFCs are being investigated to achieve a better global efficiency.This paper presents the expressions required to model the solid oxide fuel cell technology, as well as different performance results obtained after the simulation process.
