Zusammenfassung

The paper presents a project developed in a company that manufactures special alloyed steel bars and sheets for the automotive industry. The aim of the project was to reduce and fix either the semielaborated items stock as well as the delivery time between the casting and rolling processes. We have used in a synchronized way several techniques and systems with a Lean Manufacturing focus: team work, Visual Stream Mapping, Ishikawa diagrams, process charts and ERP system, being the process by which we integrate this techniques as well as the use we do of VSM the main value of this work from our point of view.
