Zusammenfassung

Three studies investigated the influence of ethnic and class information on judgments and evaluations (study 1) and person perception (studies 2 and 3). Results revealed that class information had a stronger impact on judgments and perceptions than ethnic information. Moreover, a "class reverse effect" (more positive evaluation and judgments of low class than upper class targets) was found. However, in general, this "class reverse effect" only occurred in ingroup conditions (targets were members of the respondents' same ethnic groups) but did not appear in outgroup conditions. The theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
