El Valle Salado de Añana The aim of this communication is to answer to the question of how a landscape constitutes heritage and how the process of heritage status, applied to the case of the Valle Salado de Añana (Salt Valley of Añana) in Alava, develops. Natural, social and scenic bases of the Valle salado de Añana are analyzed; the main patterns of the patrimonial process, institutional and social ones, are described, and an assessment of the same is made
