The aim of this small study will be to elucidate the formationprocess of the Malmasin Castle (Arrigorriaga, Bizkaia), which has its rootsin the Iron Age. This archaeological site raises a series of questions thathave yet to be clarified, but the fact that there is an excellent site nearby,such as Finaga (Basauri, Bizkaia), which has been occupied for a longtime (2nd-11th centuries) and is extraordinarily well excavated, allows us totake a first look at the general dynamics of the castle
