Zusammenfassung

Of the three Basque-speaking territories,  the Basque Country is undoubtedly the community that has promoted a more active linguistic policy that seeks to recover the Basque language, based on a legal framework. The criteria that have inspired that linguistic policy are still in force today: what is sought is linguistic normalization, and this fact implies that the minority language must recover and guarantee the functions that have been denied to it and that it has suffered marginalization, persecution or even prohibition at some point in its history, seeking to achieve equality both in society and in its territoriality. A language policy that wants to achieve this objective must establish certain priorities, contemplate staggered objectives and be flexible. On this occasion we will deal specifically with the incidence of the Language Transmission processes and their importance in the revitalization of Euskara, in this case, taking into account the specific results  of the VI Sociolinguistic Survey.
