Zusammenfassung
The smart factory concept can start to be built by a network of interconnected Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). The abstraction and/or virtualization of manufacturing assets in relation with their functionalities, provided as services, is a necessary condition to materialize the CPS concept. This is the RAMI 4.0 approach, in which the I4.0 Component concept plays a key role in order to transform a manufacturing asset into a CPS. Industrial agents are a suitable solution to implement I4.0 Components. In this sense, there are architectures and best practices that allow articulating methodologies for implementing I4.0 Components using agents. This paper describes how these methodologies can be put into practice by proposing concrete actions for the implementation of an I4.0 Component of an assembly station, which has been integrated in an agent-based manufacturing application management platform
