Zusammenfassung

From a philosophical reflection on love and through the analysis of the generic adverse attitude towards women, or the stigmatization, by men, towards courtesans, Tullia d’Aragóna raises the question of whether Plato was a misogynist, since, from western reflection the dispute between Socrates and Aristotle, in the interpretation of the soul and therefore of Eros is confused. The dialogue Della infinità di amore seems worthy of feminist claims for its tendency towards civil and political recognition of women in favor of new relations between genders in the private sphere and an equal social position in the public sphere.
