Zusammenfassung
Throughout the central books of Metaphysics, Aristotle investigates the four senses of the term being: accidentally, in itself, as true and false, as potency and act. After arguing that the first sense of being is to be substance, Aristotle argues that the substance, in the strict sense, should be understood as a form, not as a matter or compound.
