Zusammenfassung

This article analyzes the career of Christian institutions in al-Andalus during the Umayyad period. To that end, I will focus on the evolution of the Episcopal network, as bishops cooperated closely with the Umayyads by playing different roles, such as tax or diplomatic roles. Therefore, special attention will be paid to changes in the dioceses in relation to the successive strategies that Umayyad power adopted in respect of them.
