Zusammenfassung
Working from a recruitment model for compulsory military service similar to other territories under the Castilian crown, a specific system was developed in Álava, Vizcaya and Guipúzcoa, significantly featuring the role of interlocutor with the monarchy played by the provincial Hermandades over the towns and councils.
