Zusammenfassung

The aim of this paper is to offer a comparative morphometric study of scapula and humerus between red deer (Cervus elaphus) and reindeer (Rangifer tarandus). Both species show a similar morphology but with small differences represented by a metric ratio. In the scapula, the most relevant is the one that relates the smallest length of Collum (LmC) with the greatest length of the glenoid process (LMP). In the humerus, the index with a discriminator value is less clear. Anatomic features of both bones are valid for taxonomic determination.
