Zusammenfassung

This paper exposes the reform of the Renaissance convent of Santa Cruz in Vitoria-Gasteiz carried out by Coello de Portugal between 1969 and 1972. That reform supposed a deep structural transformation with the aim of improving living conditions of the religious community. It was a radical reform that completely changed the functioning of the building but preserved its Renaissance identity
