Zusammenfassung
This research project conducted by the Ikuspegi team addresses children’s and youth diversity in the CAE. For the first time in Euskadi, the current social reality of the (bad) so-called second generations is analyzed, understanding these as those formed by the sons and daughters of foreign immigrant people in the CAE of the last 15 years. This multidimensional objective has been addressed through different research methodologies and techniques in order to collect the vision of different groups directly or indirectly related to second generations. The study shows that diversity has become an inherent part of the sociodemographic structure and the Basque society, as well as the key role of the school in the integration of this group within a diverse and multicultural society.
